New Kew

Fashion label Kew is the Pippa Middleton (P Middy) of the high street. Once overlooked, the younger sister of the Jigsaw household - where coincidently the Duchess of Cambridge 'worked' for a brief time as an accessories buyer - has come of age.

And you know what? I've always quite liked Kew. It's a good place to find reasonably-priced, printed dresses, simple basics and decent accessories - venturing in-store is often a pleasant surprise. That's Not My Age even bought a scarf there once. So, like P Middy at The Wedding, Kew has had a subtle makeover. Rebranded as Kew.159 for autumn, the new collection, which is available in August, has had an injection of style. The work of creative director, Sandra Clarke who has over 20 years experience on brands such as Mulberry, Coast and M&S. Dresses are now digital print, knitwear is Breton stripey and let's say shirts are Equipment-inspired. Oh and 159 is the address of the company's head office in - you guessed it - Kew:

Now that the royal family are wearing high street - is new Kew for you?

Get a Life

Ooh look, it's Vivienne Westwood in Juergen Teller's new book Get a Life, which features images from the designer's spring/summer 2010 campaign. You remember... the one with a skanky-looking Pamela Anderson. And continuing That's Not My Age's unroyal wedding theme, here's a quote from The Dame on The Dress:

'I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she catches up a bit somewhere with style.'

Now I could have used the image of Westwood knickerless at Buckingham Palace, but that would have been rude - wouldn't it?
