That's Not My Underwear
Today is National Underwear Day, who knew? Apparently it's been going since 2003, which was probably the last time I actually bought new underwear. Talking of which, a recent survey by Freya Lingerie declared that almost 50% of women neglect their undies - mmm...that includes me I thought shamefacedly, as I skimmed through the statistics - they only purchase pants once every five months! Seriously, compared to my buying habits that's pretty damn frequent. Carrying out some research of my own, I asked Mr That's Not My Age what he thought of my underwear. 'Dunno,' shrugged the Blog Widower, too polite or too underwhelmed to comment.
So as M&S have declared this is a 'day to really look at your underwear drawer,'
here's a selection of gorgeous lingerie, the kind of thing I'd own if I wasn't such a slovenly shopper. The stunning lace set (above) is from Rigby & Peller. The bra-flashing-Carine-Roitfeld-dominatrix-look is totally au courrant, don't you think?
Hanro's new Ginger collection is a 1950s design taken from the company's fabulous archive. The range is 100% silk with a lovely lace trim and it's available mid October. Pretty, eh?
This floral set is from the latest Collette Dinnigan range for M&S:
That's Not My Age loves big pants. These fifties-inspired, shape shifters are from the Curve collection by elomi.
So go on tell me - how often do you buy new lingerie?
