Patricia Field to the rescue!
The power of the blog strikes again. Yesterday I was bemoaning the fact that vintage clothes stink of mothballs, today Patricia Field is here to help. The Sex and the City stylist has teamed up with Lenor as brand ambassador for their new Infusions range - a fabric softener that keeps clothes smelling fresh for seven times longer. Obviously, there's a lull in the planning and development of Sex & The City 3 and Field is using her talents elsewhere. Personally, I'm against a prequel. Why not carry on with the original cast and call it Menopause in Manhattan?
Anyway, this wonder-product launches on 15th August together with an online fashion hub and styling videos from New York Fashion's finest. Field's advice aims to 'awaken women's wardrobes' by making use of clothes languishing at the back of the closet. The videos are top secret but she does say, 'My fundamental styling principle is that fashion should be accessible to all and should be fun. It’s not about what you don’t have, but making the most of what you already own! I will be showing you the best ways to breathe new life and longer lasting freshness into everyday clothes.'
I once went into her eponymous store on the Bowery and it was all leopard print bodysuits, black satin corsets and red vinyl accessories. Not exactly what I'd call everyday clothes but I'm sure the videos will make interesting viewing.
